Stephanie Bird Kendrick was born in Sheridan, Wyoming on December 1, 1953, to Hugh T. Bird and Lois Huson Bird. Stephanie passed away on September 6, 2024, at Sheridan Memorial Hospital after battling MS for over 40 years.

"Steph" was a fighter from day one after being diagnosed with this disabling disease. She graduated from Sheridan High School six months early; going on to the University of Wyoming and earning her degree in Public Relations. In her adult life, Steph worked for Sheridan County Rodeo, Wyoming Senator Simpson, and later collaborated with her father in opening a successful real estate company - KB Brokerage.

Steph enjoyed life to the fullest extent possible with this crippling disease. Never complaining about her ailment, and always willing to share her beautiful smile with you. In her early years, Steph LOVED the time she spent with her grandparents Ted & Alma, on the K Ranch in Arvada, Wyoming.

Stephanie is preceded in death by her father, Hugh Bird, grandparents, Ted & Alma Wintermute, Chauncy & Minta Bird, and nephew, Jonathon Atkinson. She is survived by her mother, Lois Huson Hall, sons, Jake (Nicki) Kendrick, Sam (Hannah) Kendrick, sisters, Pam (Tom) Atkinson, Tina (Anthony) Mediate, grandchildren, Ben, Teddy, & Timber Kendrick, nephews, Christopher Atkinson, Phillip Mediate, and Daniel Mediate.

The family would like to thank Green House Living and Sheridan Memorial Hospital for the endless, compassionate care they have given Steph through the years. If you'd like to make a memorial donation, please send it to Green House Living, Activities Program, 2311 Shirley Cove, Sheridan, WY 82801.

A Memorial Service is at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 12, 2025, at St. Peter's Episcopal Church followed by light reception in the Fellowship Hall.
