Marcus Moore

30 May 1957 - 12 July 2026

Marcus was born in Carlsbad, NM on May 30, 1957. He joined the USAF on June 10, 1975. He met his wife, Lori (Smith) on June 17, 1976 and they eloped on June 17, 1977. Together they moved to Fussa, Japan where they were stationed at Yokota AB. Marcus retired from the Air Force in 1995, then retired from the University of Florida in 2021. Upon retiring Marcus and Lori moved to Sheridan Wyoming where they enjoyed so many wonderful times in the beautiful mountains of Wyoming. Marcus loved making people laugh and smile. He brought joy into hearts. Marcus passed away at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Tx on July 12, 2026. He said he was looking forward to seeing Jesus and his mom, whom he lost one day before his 21st birthday. Marcus was a proud member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Sheridan. He loved greeting people as they came into church. There will be a memorial on August 15th, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. at the church. He leaves behind his wife, Lori, son, Michael who he was so very proud of, daughter-in-law, Amanda, whom he always said "is the best mother a person could ask for", grandson, Connor, his pride and joy, sweet sister Connie, sister-in-law Vickie, sister-in-law Eve, Brother-in-law, Donald and many loved nieces and nephews.
