Patricia ‘Patti’ Arnieri Johnson

Surrounded by her family, Patricia 'Patti' Arnieri Johnson passed away on July 21, 2025. Patti was born on January 30, 1942 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Joseph and Helen Arnieri. She married David Johnson in 1963 in Sheridan, WY and gave birth to three boys prior to moving to Denver, CO in 1972. 

In Denver, she worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 10 years before finding her true calling as a teacher. She taught math at Lumberg Elementary in Edgewater, CO for over 25 years. Even after retiring in 2018, she continued to support the school and especially the children and their families in the community by establishing a local food bank. She collected over 25 tons of food annually through food drives and donations from local churches and grocery stores. The food bank was open daily during the school year and periodically during the summer. She also organized a Santa Shop annually where families could shop for donated items at low costs. The money that was collected was used to purchase coats for children in need or donated to extracurricular programs to reduce costs for families. Patti loved bringing happiness and joy to children and families. Even when she moved to South Carolina with her sons, she organized events in the neighborhood such as a Chilli Cook Off and an outdoor holiday movie (via projector) party equipped with hot cocoa and other sweet treats.  

In addition to her generous heart, Patti was feisty, quick witted and made her presence known. She was a peace maker at heart and ensured the family was happy, healthy and well cared for the true Italian way, in true Italian fashion. She was often found in the kitchen nursing homemade sauce and stuffed peppers for Sunday dinner or working on her latest craft or decorative piece. 

Patti was a loving mother to her three boys Joseph, Michael, and Patrick; grandmother to Christina, Nicole, Jessica, and Taylor; and great grandmother to Braxton, Carter, Chloe, Madison, Kayden, Kaylee, and Noelle. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Arnieri, mother, Helen Archbald Arnieri, husband, David Johnson, and sister, Marcia Arnieri Bates. 

Patti will be cherished, loved and memorialized for many years to come.
