Frances Katherine Schultz

Frances Katherine (Mueller) Schultz was born in Grand Island, NE on November 18, 1931. She departed this life on August 21, 2025 at Green House for Living in Sheridan, WY at the age of 93. Her parents were Henry Fitgerald Mueller and Ruth (Rousey) Mueller. Four children were born to this union: Frederick (Fritz), Frances (Fran), Henry (Hank) and Betty. They all attended school in Grand Island, NE. Fran attended Doane College in Crete, NE where she met and then married Franklin Schultz. Fran was a devoted mother to her three girls: Cynthia, Kathryn and Robyn. The family moved to Sheridan, WY in 1957. Frances joined the workforce when all her girls were of school age, working at Safeway and then First Interstate Bank. In 1978 Frank and Fran opened a retail coal sales business, Schultz Coal Sales, where she worked until well after retirement age. Fran was the center of her family, cooking dinners every Sunday, all family birthdays and holidays. She was blessed with ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She loved reading, sewing, working in the yard, garden and cooking for family.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, all siblings, ex-husband Frank, daughter Cynthia and (Jim) Kistler.

She is survived by her daughters Kathryn (Dr. Michael) Strahan; Robyn (Kim) Kimble; and grandchildren Raesha (Tyler) Vanderhoef; Devon (Brittni) Kistler; Chase (Chelsea) Kistler; Jessica Strahan (Scott Bryant); Brandan (Erin) Strahan; Nikkole Strahan (Andrew Shove); Korey (Kelly) Kimble; Dana (Tim) Leroy; and Adria Kistler.

Cremation has taken place. No services are scheduled at this time with a private family event planned for the near future.
